Here’s your chance to tell us who’s the Best of 2009 in The State’s Readers’ Choice Awards! Entering is simple. Just write in your favorite choices on this page, completing at least 25 categories, and submit it. Look for ballots in the Sunday editions of The State from May 10 through May 24, and other days during those weeks or visit TheState.com/BestOf. Entries must be received at The State by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 29. Look for your picks in a special section in The State on Sunday, June 28. * Businesses may win in up to two categories.
RULES: ONE BALLOT PER HOUSEHOLD DURING THE LENGTH OF THE CONTEST. Complete at least 25 categories in order for your ballot to be counted. You must provide your name, address, valid signature (or valid email address for online entry) and at least one telephone number to have your opinions counted. Entries must be mailed, one entry per envelope; or may be dropped off at The State between 9 am and 5 pm M-F; or may be entered online at TheState.com/BestOf. Only original newspaper ballots will be accepted. No photocopies. No purchase necessary. Ballots are available at The State, 1401 Shop Road, Columbia, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Upon receipt, entries become property of The State. Damaged, ineligible, incomplete, altered or fraudulently submitted entries are not valid. The State is not responsible for lost, misdirected or non-delivered entries. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. resident. The State reserves the right to randomly verify any provided information. All judge’s decisions are final. The winners will be posted in the Best of 2009 special edition on Sunday, June 28.
